In the early 70s, the parents Peta and Jan-Edzard Klug bought a chip shop - right at the dyke. Over a period of 25 years, they turned it into a family-operated 4**** hotel with great attention to detail. Grandad Hugo named the hotel "Hotel Regina Maris". This "Queen of the Sea" has been run by Kirstin Klug-Fröhlich and Stefan Fröhlich since 1995, together with Thorsten & Klaudia Albers since 2018 and only by Thorsten & Klaudia Albers since 2023, with great enthusiasm for service quality and sincere hospitality.

We are at home and deeply ingrained in this region. Loosely based on the motto “East Frisian hospitality always has a cup of tea ready”, you find various regional specialities on our menus in our restaurants, as East Frisian Klütje with Peern, Bohntje-Sopp or Grootheider Stipp - you don't know what that is? We will gladly advise you on events and give you tips for excursions.... We are also willing to cater for intolerances.
