For the choice of dishes in our Störtebeker’s, we attach particular importance to the use of local products. Based on carefully selected ingredients, the East Frisian suppliers look after us personally and we choose thoroughly on site. Then in the kitchen, we are at our creative best.
When the kitchen team returns from the suppliers' trip, one hears an enthusiastic "Aaah" and "Mmmh" from the kitchen. There, the season's treasures are unpacked and inspected.
The restaurant's concept under chef de cuisine Müller is to process regional specialties into East Frisian delicacies, taking into account their seasonal availability. The aim is to discover classics and “treasures” of East Frisian cuisine and make them accessible to our guests. Thereby we have endeavoured to be original, but have nevertheless carefully modernised some of the recipes.
